Coaching for the Indispensable Consultant

In talking with my consultant colleagues, they often describe their own business growth as the "school of hard knocks". Many of them had backgrounds in dentistry as a Practice Administrator, Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, even Dentist. They were successful in their work and wanted more.  They knew they had something to offer and consulting seemed like the perfect next step in their careers.

What they came to understand is that although they were talented, their particular talent didn't always translate into running a successful consulting business. They found they had much to learn, including how to:

  • start their own businesses
  • analyze a practice
  • develop training plans
  • create training resources
  • coach to ensure implementation
  • set appropriate fees

The list goes on and on.

Consulting is gratifying and important work.  As consultants we have a tremendous responsibility to be our best so that we can be the practice advisors our clients expect us to be.  I was very lucky when I started consulting.  I worked for a consulting company that had seasoned, professional consultants who participated in my training.  This was invaluable for my growth and development.  Not everyone was as lucky as I was.

It's been such a pleasure coaching consultants over the years.  Being able to share my knowledge is also gratifying.  When I think about those I've taught, I'm thrilled with the successes many of them have enjoyed.  I hope you take a moment to read some of their testimonials.

If you want to launch a career in consulting, or you have an existing consulting business that is not quite meeting your expectations, my Indispensable Consultant Coaching Program will give you the in-depth, "how to" knowledge necessary to take your consulting businesses to a new and greater level of profitability, and help you become the Indispensable Consultant your clients can't do without!

Debbie Castagna - The Indispensable Consultant

Click on the image, right, to hear Debbie discussing her consulting journey in her presentation, "The Indispensable Consultant", given at the Academy of Dental Management Consultant's meeting.  You may want to grab a cup of coffee--it's 18 minutes long!

Here’s how the program works:

Discovery: Tell Debbie your dream. She will ask questions—lots of questions. Her objective is to “drill down” to your core needs and develop a customized Training Plan.

Training Plan: Personalized just for you. Your needs may include a goal to better understand the business side of dentistry, to develop your own leadership skills so you can help dentists lead better, to analyze a practice -- or you may have questions about narrowing your service mix. Once the Training Plan has been designed, the program moves on to Implementation.

Implementation: There are a variety of options available in the Implementation phase. It's possible that your Training Plan may be easily completed with a series of phone or Skype calls. On the other hand, face-to-face meetings  (held in Corte Madera, CA) , telephone coaching, email and/or the opportunity to use recommended training materials may be the best fit. Your working relationship with Debbie is based on your needs and desires, coupled with her recommendations and advice on how to achieve results. Her primary objective for you is confidence, relevant new skills and the realistic and exciting prospect of making your dreams a reality!

Fees may start as low as $795 for 4 hours of telephone coaching. One-on-one coaching is also available at an affordable fee, with financing options. Please contact Debbie for more information.
